About Peaceful Schools NC:
An inititive through the North Carolina Psychoanalytic Foundation (NCPF), Peaceful Schools NC is bringing awareness and resolutions to the issue of bullying, motivate students, teachers and administrators to take action and to demonstrate through programs how this national program can work in North Carolina.

The organization takes a pro-active approach to bullying. Applying psychoanalysis in the community by helping community members understand the system of bullying and the roles they play.

Anti-bullying ClubThe vision of Peaceful Schools NC is to create safe school communities, free from violence and fear of physical and emotional intimidation. Their mission? To implement an evidence-based intervention, tailored to the resources and requirements of each participating school, which will reduce bullying, advance school safety and enhance collaboration among all school community members.

Peaceful Schools NC is a project undertaken by the NCPF to explore and initiate programming in schools to support a peaceful learning environment. The focus of the programming from NCPF's perspective is to create an approach which contributes to the general mental, emotional, and physical health of the school and the community surrounding the school. Their work is inspired and guided by the "Create a Peaceful School Learning Environment Curriculum" developed by Twemlow, Fonagy, and Sacco for elementary schools.
